Oneness and Ceili
Early this morning, I was gently reminded of the essence of the horses’ teachings: experience each other as one.
At 3:00, I awakened with the certainty that Ceili needed to be moved inside the barn. This awareness argued with my training that confinement is harmful to horses. By 3:30 the quiet and sure voice persisted. I found myself in the pouring rain and total darkness, moving Ceili into a nice, dry stall. His shivering told me that he did indeed need the dry space.
We both felt better. In the end, that is what we all need — to feel better. It may take a dark and cold journey, but guided by the light that comes forth from honoring a deep connection, peace and warmth will be found.
